A Friend For Life (Comic 2)

About

Seeing the world through my children’s eyes has been one of the most profound experiences of my life. There’s something magical about the way they bring new light to the simplest things—things I once took for granted or thought I had long outgrown. It’s as if the past folds into the present, and those fleeting moments of childhood wonder I thought were gone forever are suddenly alive again, seen anew through their curiosity and joy.

It reminds me of how the stories and adventures that shaped me as a child never truly left me. They were waiting, quietly, for a new generation to rediscover them. What was once old and familiar now feels fresh and exciting again. Whether it’s watching my children play in the same woods I explored, or listening to their laughter echo where mine once did, these experiences are a reminder of the enduring beauty of connection—across generations, through time, and within ourselves.

There’s something deeply comforting in the realization that the stories and magic we create in our lives are never really lost. They may shift and change, but they live on, passed down and transformed in the hearts of our children. These moments aren’t just nostalgia—they’re a bridge, connecting who I was with who I am, and helping me see the world as it was meant to be seen: with wonder, curiosity, and unbridled joy. In their eyes, I find a reason to revisit my own childhood, not as something to leave behind, but as a foundation for the memories and stories we’re building together now.
